Newly Licensed RNs Describe What They Like Best about Being a Nurse
This article, published in the Nursing Research and Practice journal, surveyed 1,152 newly registered nurses licensed in 15 states between January and March 2009 to find out what they liked best about being a nurse in order to help facilities reduce turnover rates. Themes that emerged included: receiving recognition; providing holistic care; and having an autonomous and collaborative practice.
