This article, published in the American Journal of Nursing, surveyed two groups of newly licensed registered nurses from 2004-2005 and 2010-2011, comparing the demand for nurses and the work choices of newly licensed registered nurses. Those who were in the 2010-2011 group were less likely to work in hospitals; they are more likely to be enrolled fin formal education programs.
