About us
The Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action is a national initiative of AARP Foundation, AARP and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation that is working to build a healthier America through nursing. Established 2010 to implement recommendations from a 2010 report on nursing by the then-named Institute of Medicine, and to harness the power of nursing to help all people live longer and healthier lives, the Campaign is run by the Center to Champion Nursing in America, also an initiative of AARP Foundation, AARP and RWJF.
Through Action Coaltions in nearly every state, the Campaign works with policymakers, health care professionals, educators, and business leaders to respond to the country’s increasing demand for safe, high-quality, and effective health care for all. Read more here.
We’ll stay in touch as we prepare for the release of the National Academy of Medicine’s second future of nursing report, expected in spring, that will set a path for nursing to improve the health and well-being of all.
