Action Coalitions Report on Education Work in Autumn Issue
Nursing Education Perspectives, the journal of the National League for Nursing (NLN), shines a spotlight on Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action in its September/October issue. To mark the 10 years since the Institute of Medicine published its report on the future of nursing, NLN takes a look at how nursing education has changed in response to the IOM. The special edition, “The Future of Nursing: Progress From State Action Coalitions,” reflects the responses from 12 Action Coalitions. As Beverly Malone, PhD, RN, FAAN chief executive officer of the NLN, says in a note to subscribers: “Careful reading of this issue tells a remarkable story of collaboration and good will involving academic institutions of all types throughout the United States, in urban and rural areas alike, and how they set about implementing the IOM recommendations.”
