Resources to develop mechanisms for nurses’ health, well- being, resiliency, and self-care
Recommendation 1.4 of the 2021 Future of Nursing 2020-2030: Charting a Path to Achieve Health Equity report calls for nursing organizations to develop mechanisms for leveraging the expertise of relevant nursing organizations in care coordination and care management. Care coordination and care management principles, approaches, and evidence should be used to create new cross-sector models for meeting social needs and addressing SDOH.
A group of graduate nursing students from from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center found resources and created the repository below that can help achieve this sub-recommendation.
American Nurses Association: Nursing Suicide Prevention/Resilience
Resource: This resource was created by the American Nurses Association Helathy Nurse, Healthy Nation Strength Through Resiliency Committee and has resources for suicide prevention, and ways to promote ones well-being.

Resource: This website is an evidence-based resource of online courses, a certification pathway, and a blog that can help improve overall well-being. Most videos/voice overs are less than 2 minutes in duration. The resource list includes topics for adults, children, resilience bytes, and a Year of Healing (free). Certification is a 2-part process w/fee of $1500 per section and an online Master course for $99.

The Future of Nursing 2020-2030: Charting a path to achieve health equity
