The Virginia Nurses Foundation partnered with the Medical Society of Virginia and the Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association to launch an interprofessional leadership development program called Sync. Teams of healthcare professionals including nurses, physicians and other clinical leaders are paired and asked to identify a community problem and work together to solve it. Teams then present their final projects and findings to the whole group. The goal is to increase collaboration among health care professions, while building on-the-job leadership skills.
