Aidan McCallion, MS
Senior Communications Analyst
Aidan McCallion is the senior communications analyst for the Center to Champion Nursing in America, an initiative of AARP Foundation, AARP, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to improve America’s health through nursing. Aidan is responsible for the website for the Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action, a national initiative of those same organizations to transform health care through nursing and build healthier communities for everyone in America and its bi-weekly newsletter, the Campaign Update. She leads the Campaign‘s social media strategy and implementation, contributes to the Campaign’s online presence, oversees special online projects, and provides overall communications support.
Before joining AARP, Aidan worked for the National Electrical Contractors Association as the manager of standards administration for the National Electrical Installation Standards. She also interned at the Habitat for Humanity Metro Maryland affiliate, where she was the social media/public relations intern to the executive director and the Food and Drug Administration. She earned her master’s degree in management/public relations from the University of Maryland, and has an undergraduate degree in political science from Clemson University.
