Jazmine Cooper, MBA
Project Advisor
Jazmine Cooper is a project advisor for the Center to Champion Nursing in America (CCNA), an initiative of AARP Foundation, AARP and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. She coordinates several projects of the Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action, an initiative of the same organizations that CCNA runs to transform health care through nursing and build healthier communities. Her work supports the Campaign’s effort to diversify the nursing workforce by helping nursing programs that serve primarily students from marginalized communities. Through promoting the importance of mentoring, the Campaign’s goal is to help retain, graduate, and prepare students to pass the nurse licensure exam (NCLEX). She also provides technical assistance to the Campaign’s state-based Action Coalitions on their fundraising, and coordinates speaking engagements that promote the Campaign. Earlier, Cooper worked for AARP Services, Inc. as a quality assurance analyst. Jazmine obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bowie State University and her master’s in business administration from the University of Maryland University College.
