The AARP and Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action health equity summit, “Building Equity in Nursing and Health Care Leadership,” brought together local, state, and national stakeholders focused on advancing equity in health care workforce decisions and private-sector policies, and championing nurses from racial and ethnic groups who have faced systemic barriers to advancing their careers into leadership positions, especially in health systems and academia.
