Culture of Health and Nursing Education Learning Collaborative

Some 25 participants were briefed on progress in California on integrating population health and Culture of Health into nursing school curriculum. Presenters included Mary Dickow, statewide director of the California Action Coalition, and Noel Bazini-Barakat, RN, MSN, nursing director and deputy director, quality improvement division of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, as well as a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Public Health Nurse Leader.
Participants were updated on Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education accreditation– A revision on “Essentials” is underway to include population health and interdisciplinary education.
