Nursing Education Surveys Report – PA
This 40-page report describes results of a survey of nursing education programs to determine the adequacy of nursing faculty numbers; the rejection rate of qualified applicants due to lack of adequate numbers of faculty; and the reasons for inability to recruit and hire additional nursing faculty. The survey, by the Pennsylvania Coalition for the Advancement of Nursing Education and the Pennsylvania Action Coalition, includes statistics and analysis. Among the findings: most nursing programs have adequate faculty, and most doctoral students are part-time.
